Mrs. Whitnee Jordan sitting in front of a book shelf in a blue and white shirt.Congratulations to Mrs. Whitnee Jordan who was recently named Rockfish Teacher of the Year for 2018-19.  Mrs. Jordan was very grateful when it was announced.  She had this to say about her life and teaching experience, “I have two beautiful children, Cade and Ella.  I also have an awesome husband, Jack.  I have been teaching for 16 years.  I have taught first, second, and third grades.  I have been teaching third grade for 13 years.  I love working with my students each day and motivating them to be the best that they can be in all that they do.  Working at Rockfish is a blessing to me!  I am surrounded by such wonderful administrators, teachers, and staff each day.  I am so lucky to be a part of the amazing Rockfish family.”  Mrs. Jordan will be a terrific representative of Rockfish for the next school year.

Mrs. Crawford on stage receiving the Most Supportive Administrator Award from Child Nutrition Services with a black curtain background.Mrs. Ann Crawford, RFES Principal, was recently named Most Supportive Administrator of the Year 2017-18 at the Annual Child Nutrition Services Awards Banquet.  Mrs. Crawford is fully supportive of our Tiger Café staff and the countless details required of them to operate a school cafeteria.  She values the efforts it takes to accomplish all the extensive tasks involved in feeding breakfast and lunch to our little Rockfish village.  Our cafeteria staff is included in activities that go on within the school—receptions, holiday activities, secret Santa, and other occasions the full school staff celebrates.  Mrs. Crawford considers our Child Nutrition folks a very valuable part of the Rockfish team.

While always expecting our Tiger Café staff to get the job of feeding children done, Mrs. Crawford is kind and cares about the staff and expresses it daily through her collective and individual interactions.  She is truly a hands-on and a hearts-on principal who leads with integrity.

Congratulations, Mrs. Crawford!!  We appreciate you!!
