A pile of wrapped holiday gifts.The PTA Holiday Shop will be open December 11-15 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Students can preview the items in the shop on Thursday, December 7, or Friday, December 8.  It will also be open Thursday, December 14, in the evening for 30 minutes after the end of the Winter Program.

A teacher, a student, and Ronald McDonald working together with a magic wand.The McDonald’s on Hope Mills Road sponsored “A Friendship Adventure with Ronald McDonald”.  Ronald talked to the Kindergarten – 2nd-grade students about friends and bullies.  He gave them tips on how to be a friend and how to stand up to bullies.  The students enjoyed songs and magic tricks.  A few students and teachers were selected to go up on stage and help him.  Ronald’s main message was: Be a friend to everyone!

A teacher dressed up as Fly Guy.First graders enjoyed walking in a parade around the school to show off their book character costumes.  Some book characters spotted were Peter Pan, Pinkalicious, Fly Guy, Pete the Cat, and the Grinch.  The students were greeted with cheers from the rest of the school.  What a great way to celebrate literacy!
