The Amazing Race: AIG Style Race around the globe researching clues and completing individual and team tasks while learning more about the language, culture, and geography of various continents.  
June 18–21, 2018, Monday – Thursday 
Location: Walker-Spivey Elementary School

Academically/Intellectually Gifted Summer Enrichment Third Grade Brochure/Application


4th & 5th Grades
All interested 4th – and 5th-grade AIG students are eligible to participate in the AIG Summer Enrichment program. Students will select three (3) courses that they prefer and are guaranteed at least one (1) of these choices. 

“Robo Mania!” Imagine It, Engineer It and Make It Go! 
Design, build, program and test robots using the Lego Mindstorms building system. Develop creativity and problem-solving skills along with other important math and science knowledge.

Games for the Brain
Creative, exciting, innovative, and stimulating games to challenge critical thinking, deductive reasoning, strategic planning, and much more. Come and have some fun using your brain.

CSI
A crime has occurred at camp and we need your help!! As a Crime Scene Investigator, you will be tasked with solving the mystery through scientific observation, sample examination, analysis, lab work, testing, interviews, and fieldwork. 

“Chem4kids” 
Enter the professor’s laboratory to experience icky, bubbling, slimy, gooey, hands-on science experiences for the “young chemist”. Participants will discover the world of matter, it’s
physical and chemical properties, and the “boom – bang” effect of chemical reactions!

Electrifying
Explore the science of electricity while creating circuits to power fans, flying saucers, sirens, radios, and light shows that pulsate to music.

Thread Art: When Math and Art Collide:
What do a hammer and nails, knots, shapes, and line designs have in common? They are all ways you can express your creativity through math and art. Learn to use a hammer and nails to create cool name boards with string, tie knots to create friendship bracelets, crochet fun shapes, and so much more! Leave with an awesome piece of art to show off to your family and friends.

Invent, Create and Video
Put your imagination to work and invent one of a kind video games with Bloxels, create your own movie using green screen technology and complete robotic missions using coding programming.
